Not to achy after the Great South Run on what was an enjoyable run. My fundraising for Children with Cancer UK currently stands at £697.78 (thanks to some recent donations), which added to the £510 raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK gives over £1,200 raised 🙂
There are still a few signed goodies on EBay to be had, with the lively folk rockers Bellowhead sending a signed CD and currently on line is a signed CD from prog rockers Jadis:

What’s next? Well spurred on by this year’s running I am going to attempt a half marathon next May/June time plus the Staines 10K. Ideas for any fundraising most welcome.
I have two charities lined-up, one chosen by Matt Curtis who kindly sponsored me for each of my three races this year. He has chosen the Cleft Lip And Palate Association (CLAPA). Clapa is a support organisation for all those with and affected by cleft lip and palate. One in 700 children are born with this condition – about 1,000 a year in the UK. CLAPA provides information, advice and one to one support through its national network of branches. It also runs confidence-building camps for children and distributes bottles and teats for babies born with cleft lip and palate.

The second one is The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. We represent the interests and campaign for the rights of all deaf children and young people from birth to independence. NDCS believes that the family is the most important influence on a deaf child’s development. NDCS supports the deaf child through the family as well as directly supporting deaf children and young people themselves.

For these two charities I will again be auctioning off signed goodies via EBay so any contacts much appreciated.
Thank you all again for your support, it is very much appreciated by me and the charities.
