Fifty Gigs In A Day 2019 raises over £300 for Nordoff Robbins

Fifty Gigs In A Day 2019 raised over £300 for the Nordoff Robbins charity, as well as raising awareness of the work they do in music therapy.

The money raised was as follows –

£177 = Dandelion Charm played a free gig at the Brunswick, Hove supported by Milton Hide

£66 = my Facebook birthday post

£23 = eBay auctions (Ninebarrow CDs)

£37 = JustGiving from generous FM & Thunder fans

Thank you to the following for taking part and helping spread the word on the work of the Nordoff Robbins charity –

Fifty Gigs In A Day 2019 is this Friday (although there have been gigs already from Space Elevator & Hanson Asiedu). Those with gigs this Friday are –

Folk night at the Railway Inn, Portslade tomorrow night (7 Feb) – thanks to Robb Johnson

Dandelion Charm are playing a gig at the Brunswick, Hove on Feb 8th. It is free entry and any donations on the night will go to Nordoff Robbins.

Folk duo Ninebarrow play North Ferriby Village Hall

Author Mark Stay has a signing event for his new book ‘The End of Magic’ and he will donate £1 for each copy sold and/or signed on the night (15 Feb)

A night of top folk music at the Railway Roots night and also one that will be helping promote the work of the Nordoff Robbins charity as part of Fifty Gigs In A Day 2019. Thank you to Robb Johnson

Daria Kulesh and Jonny Dyer : Thursday 7th February

With her striking voice and strong Russian and Ingush heritage, “bold, exotic, impressive” Daria Kulesh is a rising star and a unique character on the UK folk scene. Her debut album Eternal Child was described as “phenomenal” and named Runner-Up in “Best Album of 2015 from a Female Artist” by FolkWords, among numerous other accolades.

Her 2017 album Long Lost Home has won awards in the UK and in Russia, including Laurel Canyon Music’s Album of the Year. Mike Harding praised the The Moon and the Pilot as “one of the most beautiful new songs of the last ten years”.

Singer/songwriter ROBB JOHNSON is kindly hosting a gig on February 7th at the Railway Roots Night at the Railway Inn, Portslade. It features Daria Kulesh with Jonny Dyer.

He has previously supported my fundraising at a charity gig for my fortieth birthday.
