Well just under a week until race day and the Staines 10K, which I am running in aid of the Children with Cancer UK charity. The total raised to date stands at £243 – thanks to all for sponsoring me and plugging my fundraising. I think I am ready for the run, although training seems to get harder every time I do one of these runs 🙂
The Fifty Fifty charity auctions of signed items from bands/sports people/authors/celebrities has now topped £300 with an impressive £46 coming from an old tour jacket as worn by keyboards player John Sinclair on stage with Ozzy Osbourne. All funds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK charity:
I am always after signed items so ant contacts most welcome. Online now is a signed photo of comedian & West Brom fan Frank Skinner. Coming soon signed goodies from John Bishop and now online a signed copy of the excellent debut album from rising blues rocker Chantel McGregor.
Thanks as ever for your support and I am off to iron my Mr Men top for Sunday…
The John Sinclair tour jacket as worn by him on stage with Ozzy Osbourne in the late 80’s went for £46.45, add to this the Limahl signed copy of ‘Never Ending Story’ (still a live auction and currently at £4.00) means another £50 raised. Mind you hopefully the DVD will top at least £10 and thanks to former Radio 1 DJ Mike Read for kindly retweeting the Limahl Ebay link.
Been busy trying to drum up some more signed items for auction and hopefully will have some more soon.
Kindly signed and donated by Limahl, a signed copy of ‘The Neverending Story’ DVD. All proceeds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.
You can bid on the item here
The signed CD raised £15 so hopefully this DVD can top that figure.
Thanks to ‘Record Collector’ and their email newsletter for a plug for the John Sinclair tour jacket which finishes this weekend. It is currently at £21.00, a bargain price for a piece of rock ‘n’ roll history. Sign up for the ‘Record Collector’ newsletter here
BIG thanks to Limahl who has kindly donated a signed KajaGooGoo signed ‘best of’ CD/DVD, a signed copy of ‘The Never Ending Story’ (he sang the title track), a signed photo and a signed good luck photo which takes pride of place on my new Wall page.
NB If you’re a Stoke City fan like me you may replace the chorus with ‘Tuncay, shy shy, Huth, Huth, Abdoulaye’
